As promised, here we are with the release of Santaléa 1 on one of the most blessed days of the year, known as the ‘Day of Arafat.’

When you inhale this oil, you’re not just experiencing the serene depth of true Indonesian sandalwood—you’re witnessing the story of dedication behind it. Each note carries the weight of intense labor, from breaking down the dense heartwood—requiring nearly 50 billets to yield just one kilogram—to the meticulous care that followed.

The material was cold-soaked for three weeks in pristine Alpine mountain water, chosen specifically for its purity and compatibility with this high grade sandalwood. Distillation was then carried out over natural gas, using a stainless steel pot and a custom glass Clevenger setup—ensuring a clean, unadulterated profile that honors the soul of the wood.

Smell:

Silky-smooth, resinous, and gently sweet, it opens with creamy wood notes, evolving into soft balsamic warmth with subtle floral and earthy undertones. Stainless steel hydro-distillation ensures a clean, elegant profile—free from any metallic interference, allowing the natural beauty of the wood to shine through.

With over 8 hours of longevity on the skin, the oil already displays an impressive level of maturity and balance.
