Description
Today I have something special, an incense microcarpa agarwood hailing from Sabah, Malaysia. The wood profile is very similar to the Brunei region, as they border each other.
I’ll talk about the profile in a bit, but this is one of those woods that are good for fumigating your clothes and house. The aroma lingers for hours and makes your mind calm and appreciate the smell.
It starts off with an addictive vanillic, minty, spicy, woody aroma followed by deep, rich, resinous oudiness and the sweetness that is very unique to this region, which I cannot put into words. In this type of wood, the resin is hidden deep inside the pores and not actually visible to the naked eye. Just put a tiny piece on a subitism, and you’ll understand what I’m trying to say.
